Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen took to the Interiors stage to share his top 5 Interior tips and tricks!

• Interior colour trend predictions – blues and purples: it’s a very very sultry end to the colour palette and something that will give you immense pleasure. We in Britain have very grey, very green light coming into our rooms so using blues and purples, particularly at the strong end of the spectrum, will give you a jewel box light space that will never ever, ever disappoint.
• Pattern is back: just look at the catwalks, look at the fashion magazines. Pattern is something that brings such degrees of storytelling, detail and interest to an interior.  The patterns to really watch are traditional ones inspired by the arts and crafts movements, inspired by William Morris but given a dramatic new rebrand for 2022, with stronger colours or more convoluted colour combinations like blue and purple.
• Keep it personal: it should be a reflection of you, your own style and your own taste. Never be bullied by other people to tell you you should do it one way or another.
• Turn your back on the grey-naissance: grey has become a phenomenal cliché these days – it’s the beige of our generation. It’s a good idea because a grey room will look bigger than a beige room, but whatever you do make sure that you’re accenting with strong, bright colour or emphatic pattern.
