Mary Berry Returns to the Ideal Home Show with a Beautiful New Tableware Collection
)
It’s not every day you meet royalty — and today, we’ve had two kinds at the Ideal Home Show.
While past events have seen the likes of Queen Elizabeth and King Charles grace our doors, this year, it’s the Queen of Baking herself, Dame Mary Berry, stealing the show. Returning to the event for the first time in decades, Mary brought with her not just cherished memories, but an exclusive reveal of her brand-new tableware range.
And yes, we’re just as excited as you are.
If you missed her live, don’t worry - we’ll replay our favourite moments from her talk here
“It hasn't really changed,” Mary said with a warm smile, “though I think it's had a coat of paint!”
Her last appearance at the Ideal Home Show was some 40 years ago, where she delighted crowds with live cookery demonstrations and her signature charm. Back then, as now, the show was a hive of inspiration for homemakers and budding interior stylists alike.
“People come here for ideas, don’t they?” she added—and who better to spark a few than Mary herself?
A tableware collection inspired by timeless styleMary’s latest creative venture, a tableware collection, made its debut at the show. Featuring two distinctive designs, the range blends classic British sensibilities with modern appeal.
The botanical set showcases soft fern motifs—a subtle, elegant backdrop for everyday dining. “Food always looks good on a not-too-busy background,” she explained, “and this one’s very simple, very classic.”
In contrast, the stripey range brings in a pop of playful energy, with cheerful blue and green stripes perfect for summer tablescapes or adding a hint of charm to your Sunday brunch.
Whether your style is understated elegance or a touch more lively, Mary’s collection offers something for every table.
Live on stage: stories, style, and a little inspirationMary joined us on the Ideal Home Show stage for a live Q&A session, giving visitors an intimate glimpse into the inspiration behind her designs and her long-standing passion for making the home a place of warmth and beauty.
