What better time to get your home clean and organised than the new year! January is the perfect time to get your home in shape for the year ahead. Here are our tips and tricks to get your home reorganised.

Getting rid of or putting away things around your home that you don’t use on a daily or weekly basis is a great way to start your home revamp. Things that don’t need to be hanging around your home – get rid! Recycling old bedding you’ve kept at the bottom of the wardrobe, cleaning out kitchen cabinets of utensils you don’t use, and getting rid of household ornaments that are cluttering your spaces are all great ways to declutter your cupboards to make space.

Donating or selling old clothes and shoes to charity is a great way to save space and make some money. There are now various ways to donate clothes to good causes such as clothes swaps, donating to stores such as H&M, or gifting old clothes to charity shops.

Start from top to bottom. Dust your walls, shelves and ceilings before you tidy and vacuum, so you can force the debris down. And don’t forget to clean windows and window seams too, to allow for light to enter your newly cleaned room.
