Lisa Faulkner
Lisa Faulkner is a cookery author, TV presenter and actor.
Lisa first established herself as a leading actor starring in numerous high profile TV dramas, including Holby City,
Spooks and Dangerfield. In 2010, Lisa won BBC1′s Celebrity MasterChef and has since gone on a remarkable food
journey.
For the last 4 years, Lisa’s cookery show on ITV, John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen, has been inspiring audiences most
weekend mornings. Now in it’s 9th series, Lisa, alongside her husband John Torode, create great family recipes for
home cooks of all abilities. Lisa is also a regular contributor to ITV’s Lorraine, having made a number of cookery
strands for the show, including most recently visiting some of her favourite places in Paris.
A talented and natural writer, Lisa’s first cookery book, Recipes from My Mother for My Daughter, was published in
2012 and became an instant bestseller, reaching number one in The Times non-fiction list. Lisa’s second cookbook,
The Way I Cook, was published in September 2013. Her third book, Tea and Cake, was published in February 2015,
also becoming a bestseller.
Lisa Faulkner’s first non-cookery title was published by Ebury. Meant To Be tells Lisa’s personal story and discoveries
on route to motherhood via IVF and ultimately adoption. The book was incredibly well received and has been highly
praised for helping many women and families going through similar issues around starting a family.
Lisa has gathered a large and dedicated following on Instagram, sharing her love for recipe writing by creating hugely
engaging Instagram content, racking up millions of views along the way. She is also a brand ambassador for Ocado,
where her popular recipes for the grocer appear on her Instagram as well as Ocado’s social channels and magazine.
Lisa has presented a number of TV programmes, including ITV’s iconic daytime series This Morning, BBC2′s primetime
version of the critically acclaimed Heir Hunters, and hit Channel 4 daytime show, What’s Cooking? with Ben Shepherd,
as well as regularly cooking in the This Morning kitchen.
Lisa is passionate about cooking with children, which led to her presenting Crash My Kitchen for CBBC. In the series,
Lisa teaches children and their families how to cook simple and healthy meals.
In addition to her television work, Lisa has acted in numerous films, such as A Feast at Midnight, as well as And the
Beat Goes On. Lisa continues to regularly act and was cast as Fi Browning in Eastenders, leaving the soap in dramatic
fashion at the beginning of 2018.
