Russell McCourty
Russell completed his BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology & Design degree at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol in 2012, and returned to West Sussex to start his career - now currently working at George & James Architects in the West Sussex countryside.
He achieved his Chartership (MCIAT) in 2017 and then progressed to becoming a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (FCIAT) in 2021, being accepted as the second youngest Fellow of Architectural Technology in the Institute at the time.
Russell is a champion of environmentally conscious designs, and has led or consulted on over 700 projects so far, from small extensions, Listed building adaptations, newbuild bespoke houses, residential developments, and various commercial and industrial projects. He has in-depth knowledge of the area, and has acted as lead for the early design, technical detailing and statutory permissions stages for many projects, including within the South Downs AONB.
